Best Buzz, Bee Yourself

Some individuals are natural at being themselves, openly expressing opinions, attitudes and experiences. They attract others like bees to honey with their humor, honesty and objectivity.

As a child it is solely about ourselves. Enter the world and growing up we learn how to be yourself in an appropriate mix of socially accepted behaviors and actions.

In nature there is an interconnected being necessary for life. Elements of nature much like young children, know only how to be themselves, what else is there? Be yourself is simply the best buzz like floating on clouds and as easy as you make it.

"Thanks a lot" says so much...

In school my English teachers preferred you not use the words "a lot."
Anyway that is what I recall. It was slang and not to be used in formal
writing. A greeting card is a special way to tell someone you thought about them. It is a reflection of your thoughts for them.

"Thanks a lot" is sincere and simply put.
A good fit with this delicate
wild flower.

I found this little one during a photo shoot in a very wooded area just outside of Rapid City. Pink and purple little delicate flowers were growing  below the wild grasses.

One neighbor had carefully mowed around several patches of them
with bird houses scattered around the areas. Nature is so subtle. It creates these harmonious elements for whoever discovers their presence to enjoy.  To nature...thanks a lot.

Artist's Random Moments, Newest Greeting Cards

During the day if my camera is in hand, my eyes observe and the camera captures random subjects. Sadly an interesting photo becomes tucked away on the external hard-drive accumulating digital dust.

Yesterday I excavated photos, edited and added a bit of artistic bling and combined with simple greetings for Victoria's Garden and Dark Canyon Coffee Co. distribution and sale.

Travel with me behind the camera to understand the moment in hand. This is my favortie card and image. It will soon become the new home page on savagethiewes.com

My lab allows a butterfly to light on her nose while resting. Oh, if only she would be that calm.

This is a combination of four photos.
First Shot: Bailey my crazy yellow lab and running partner, loves to sleep in the sun unless I 'm wearing tennis shoes.

Second Shot: The butterfly photo is from Botanica in Wichita, KS, Butterfly House.

2 background shots, one blurred for a dark backdrop and the wild grasses from the SD prairie glassified with a Photoshop filter. This became a friendship cards. Reading, "A good friend knows when to listen and is always ready to share a laugh." I love a good laugh.
All photos and greetings are copyrighted.

Observe, Balance, Nature & Let Creativity Flow

Who knows what will happen while photographing nature and applying an artistic license to fun. It is fun watching my mind grapple with making an object something of intrigue. The whole process reminds me if I hadn't  started this, it would not have happened.

The mind needs exercise just like all the other parts of you. Creativity flows through my mind and the experience is pleasurable.
